I didn’t take much medication growing up. It simply wasn’t the type of household I grew up in. Don’t get me wrong, if things get really crazy (like when I get chickenpox or strep throat), what I’ve been given is a round of antibiotics. But if something could be handled in a more holistic way, that was my mother’s preference.
I’m sure that’s a big part of why my immune system is still going strong. And secondly, I am very “pro-herbal.” That’s also why I want to write about what I’ve learned about them as often as possible. Today I want to tackle some herbs you may have never heard of that may be exactly what you’re looking for to achieve optimal health.
Now, before we get into it, I think it would be totally irresponsible of me not to advise you to understand this only as an introduction to the following eight. That said, after checking out the list, do your own thorough research. Be wary of articles that say there may be potential side effects (some herbs are very powerful). Please do these at your own risk. Consult your doctor before taking it (especially if you are currently taking any medications). But at the same time, as an avid herbalist myself, I wouldn’t praise herbs unless I was a big fan of their benefits in general.
