The 6th Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) kicked off on Saturday, with thousands of residents taking on 30 minutes of activity for 30 days of the month.
The brainchild of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the event has become one of the most awaited events on Dubai Municipality’s calendar. From community events and fitness hubs to unique classes and competitions, Dubai offers a variety of events as part of his DFC.
Here are seven unique events and classes residents can try around the city this month.
1. Register in Guinness World Records
This year, as part of DFC, an attempt will be made to set a Guinness World Record by hosting the largest HIIT workout at Sheikh Zayed Road on Sunday 12th November. 2. Get fit by dancing
If you want to work on your dance moves for this DFC, head to PAD, the celebrity Pilates and dance studio by Yasmin Karachiwala at The Greens. From Oct. 28 to Nov. 26, the center will offer free 30-minute classes four times a week.

3. Swim at a height of 200 meters
There’s nothing more unique than swimming in the world’s highest 360-degree infinity pool. At the Aura Sky Pool, located 200 meters above the ground, the triathlon begins with a 3 km row on his stationary rowing machine, a 3 km cycle on a stationary bike, and a final swim in the infinity pool. 5. Participate in the Under Armor Turf Game
The famous Under Armor Turf Games City Series will make its debut in Dubai during the DFC. Participants form groups of six and take part in an event that challenges them to their physical and mental limits. From assault bikes to rowers, deadlifts to squats to rope climbs, the Under Armor Turf Games are open to people of all skill levels and will be held from November 10th through the 11th.
6. Try some rehabilitation exercises
For those with injuries or physical limitations, there is no better place to start your fitness journey than at the Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center Fitness Hub.
The center will offer workshops throughout the month with exercises designed for sitting and standing positions to promote inclusivity for all. There are plenty of sessions to take part in, from exercises for wheelchair users to aquatic therapy balance exercises for ambulatory female participants.
7. Try some new exercises
If you’re looking to try a new sport like aerial yoga, swimming or badminton, DFC is the perfect time. Maya Blue Institute offers free aerial yoga classes every Monday and Wednesday, while Urban Swim Academy offers free beginner swim lessons for men, women, and toddlers.
For those interested in the sport, Dubai’s Smashers Badminton Academy offers free 30-minute bookings on the badminton court, while Paddle Art hosts free introductory pickleball classes.
