7 people banned from Pennsylvania casinos for leaving children alone to gamble

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — Seven people, including two former employees, have been barred from a casino in Pennsylvania, the Gaming Control Commission said.

Nine children were left alone in a car while a parent or guardian was inside a casino gambling hall, resulting in a total fine of $48,000 for prohibited adults.


  • A 14-month-old child was left in a car in the parking lot of Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack for 14 minutes before being placed on the involuntary exclusion list by men and women to enter the casino’s dealer school and human resources office. was put inBoth were casino employees but were fired.

“The Board’s action prohibits adults from leaving minors in casino parking lots, garages, hotels and other venues because it creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for children. It is a reminder that,” said the Council. Wednesday news release.

There have been more than 370 incidents of adults leaving children alone while out gambling at casinos in Pennsylvania.
