Mary Driscoll, Mary’s Health & Fitness it will open Mary’s Training Centera new athlete training facility opened Friday at 981 Bullfrog Valley Road in Derry Township.
The 40,000 square foot facility includes a 28,000 square foot indoor turf field, a 2,500 square foot strength and conditioning room, and a recovery room equipped with a HydroWorx underwater treadmill and Normatec recovery pants.
Mary’s Training Center provides athlete training, team training, sports metrics, sports clinics, musculoskeletal evaluations, nutritional counseling, and academic coaching services. Mary’s Training Center offers programs tailored to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. The gym offers small group classes, sport-specific training, injury prevention programs, turf rentals for practices and clinics, and more.
“The opening of Mary’s Training Center was the culmination of a lifelong dream of mine to provide a comprehensive fitness facility for both athletes and individuals. With the support of our dedicated team, everyone can achieve their fitness goals. We are excited to be able to provide the space for them to pursue their goals,” Driscoll said in a news release.
More than 50 people will work at the fitness center.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday. Grand opening ceremonies will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The center will hold a tour of the facility Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. The open house will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The La Crosse Open House will be held Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. The soccer open house will be held Sunday from noon to 2 p.m., and the field hockey open house will be held Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The company says Mary’s Health & Fitness’ customer base has nearly quadrupled since 2020, with a significant increase in the youth athlete demographic. Mary’s Health & Fitness, located at 309 Hockersville Road in Derry Township, has outgrown its space. Mary’s Health & Fitness will continue to serve adults, offering individual training, group training, classes, and post-physical therapy training at its Hockersville Road facility. Meanwhile, Mary’s Training Center will focus on training athletes at its Bullfrog Valley Road location.
Driscoll founded Mary’s Health & Fitness in 2014. She has nearly 20 years of experience in personal training and was an active field hockey player at Hershey High School and Penn State University. She is also an international field hockey referee.
