It can be difficult to find time to train during the holidays, but when you’re busy with seasonal festivities, it honestly doesn’t matter much if your weights are gathering some dust.
However, we recommend adding a little movement into your day as it will refresh your body and mind.

This workout is inspired by the popular Christmas carol “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and includes 12 different kettlebell exercises.
How to do 12 days of Christmas training
The only equipment needed for this routine is a kettlebell. You should be able to use the same kettlebell weight from start to finish, since you’ll need fewer reps for some of the more difficult exercises or movements that use smaller muscles.
The workout follows Carroll’s format, starting with one burpee, then two kettlebell halos, and one burpee. Next, do three upright rows, two kettlebell halos, one burpee, and so on until you’ve performed all 12 exercises.
Thankfully, this is a follow-along workout, so it won’t test your memory like a real carol.
This is a challenging workout, and your reps will start increasing quickly. You’ll complete a total of 36 lateral lunges, 40 biceps curls, and 42 Romanian deadlifts. So before you press play on the video, take some time to warm up. .
This workout also includes compound exercises (moves that work multiple muscle groups and joints) that keep you moving without stopping, which gets your heart rate up and improves your cardiovascular fitness.
