Like some other peanut butter producers, Walmart makes a combo version of the spread that mixes peanut butter and honey. But, as you’ve probably guessed, doing so results in a spread that’s loaded with sugar. Two tablespoons of this spread contains a total of 7 grams of sugar, of which 6 grams are added. This equates to 12% of your man’s daily value, which is a fairly small portion. Additionally, when spread on white bread, more sugar may be added.
These added sugars come from three different sources: honey, sugar, and molasses, which together create a very sweet spread. Salt is probably also added to balance the flavor, but as a result, you’re also getting 115 milligrams of sodium per serving. What’s more, Great Value Honey Roasted Creamy Peanut and Honey Spread also has hydrogenated vegetable oil added, so you’ll get 14 grams of fat per serving. If that’s not enough, there’s also one of the lower protein options, which contains 7 grams per serving instead of the usual 8 grams.
